This time I’m celebrating some of the amazing people on our commercial and clinical teams - the folks helping connect our science with veterinarians, clinics, and the pets who will ultimately benefit from it.

Watch the video below to meet them 🤩

💙 Rebecca Windsor, Vice President of Veterinary Affairs

Rebecca is one of those rare people who combines extraordinary expertise with an incredible ability to connect with others. She’s a boarded neurologist with deep credibility across the veterinary community and what makes her really special is how passionately she speaks about regenerative medicine.

Long before joining Gallant, Rebecca had already seen stem cells work firsthand during a study on pug dog encephalitis. Once you witness something like that with your own eyes, you talk about it differently, and Rebecca brings that authenticity to everything she does.

At home, she’s the mom of two energetic boys, and one of them has a hamster named Avocado (which might be one of the greatest hamster names ever). Her dog, apparently, loves her so much that he tries to hide her shoes when she leaves the house. I respect the strategy 🤭

🏕️ Beau Becker, Senior Director of Commercial Operations

Beau has been part of Gallant since the early days -even before I joined. In fact, he was one of the people who interviewed me when I first met the team in Santa Monica.

He’s one of those people who lives life very intentionally. Beau loves camping (real camping, with a tent in the woods, a campfire dinner, and no cell service for miles!) and spends a lot of time outdoors. He’s also deeply committed to mentoring boys through youth programs, which tells you a lot about the kind of person he is.

Beau also writes a thoughtful blog where he shares candid reflections on life, growth, and modern masculinity. Check it out here: Insights for the Modern Man: Men’s Blog.

📣 Shane Fairchild, Director of Marketing

Shane joined Gallant when we were looking for someone to help sharpen and scale our marketing strategy ahead of our commercial launch. Before officially coming on board, we asked him to lead a workshop with our team in Denver.

We spent hours talking about Gallant’s story, our mission, and how to communicate what we’re building in a way that resonates with the veterinary community. By the end of the session, everything just clicked and we knew we wanted him on the team.

Shane has deep experience across animal health and pharma and is extremely good at what he does. But he’s also completely down to earth and a lot of fun to work with. Shane can quote Seinfeld for almost any situation in life, which means at some point you’re guaranteed to hear: “These pretzels are making me thirsty.”

💻 Lou Tenney, Senior Manager of Digital Marketing

Lou is one of those bright lights who just makes every conversation more fun.

He leads a huge part of Gallant’s digital presence, including our website and everything that shapes how people experience our brand online. In many ways, he’s helping create the “front door” to the company.

He’s also a devoted dad, and our dinner conversations at team meetings often turn into hilarious exchanges about parenting adventures. And if we ever need someone to select a good bottle of wine at a team dinner… Lou has unofficially been appointed Gallant’s sommelier.

🌊 Jen Klein, Sr. VP of Commercial Operations and Customer Experience

Jen joined Gallant with a big mission to help us build a truly world-class experience for veterinarians who work with us.

Jen dedicated decades to designing thoughtful, human-centered customer journeys, and she also fits beautifully into the Gallant culture: compassionate, emotionally intelligent, and incredibly sharp.

She also spends part of her time in Maine at a beautiful cottage on the shore. We clearly share a soft spot for the ocean. Living in San Diego, I get how therapeutic it can be!

🧬 Jessica Schneider, Clinical Trial Manager

Jessica has been with Gallant since the early days, and it’s been rewarding to watch her grow with the company.

She is one of three amazing clinical trial managers, and a key leader in trials for our first product. Jessica works closely with participating veterinary clinics, training investigators on the study protocols, monitoring the clinical trials and making sure everything runs smoothly. Clinical research is complex, and Jessica has a special way of making our partners feel supported every step of the way, while adhering to the highest quality standards for our trials.

One funny detail…Jessica is tall. When we take photos together, she always asks if I’m wearing heels. If not, she’ll kindly crouch down so we’re roughly the same height. It’s very sweet and funny.

_______________________________________________________________________

Thank you for getting to know a few more of the amazing humans behind Gallant and for being part of this journey with us 💙

If you missed the first two posts, you can find them here: Humans of Gallant: Part 1 and Humans of Gallant: Part 2.

Thanks for reading Stem Cells and Pets! Watch the video below and meet the team 🤩

📊 April Treadwell, Director of Finance and HR

April is my right hand, and—let’s be honest—the reason Gallant hasn’t collapsed under the weight of logistics, insurance policies, or five simultaneous budget spreadsheets.

If there’s a challenge, April’s already halfway through solving it. From finance to HR to IT, she touches every corner of the business—and somehow does it with calm, clarity, and collaboration.

Also, fun fact: her dog Kylo might be the coolest employee we have.

🛠️ Deni McKay, Operations and Administrative Specialist

If Gallant had a Swiss Army knife, it’d be named Deni. She’s the quiet powerhouse who keeps the whole machine humming—behind every shipment, every invoice, every “hey, can you help with this random thing?” is Deni saying yes with a smile.

Once, in a true act of startup heroism, she even rescued my entire business trip wardrobe from Nordstrom when I was in a pinch. That’s the kind of person she is—efficient, generous, unshakably reliable. The glue that holds the whole show together.

🔎 Orzala Sharif, Flow Cytometry Specialist

Orzala, or “Z” as we affectionately call her, is the scientist who makes sure our stem cells are just right in every batch. She’s like a detective, combing through every detail to ensure everything checks out before it gets to work.

Smart, quick on her feet, and always one step ahead, Z is the kind of person who turns challenges into solutions with ease. She also has a beautiful daughter, Sienna, who’s gifted me some of her amazing artwork—now proudly hanging on my office door 🥰

🧪 Tatiana Ruiz Larroya, Analytical and Process Development

Tatiana, or “Tati” as we all call her, is the brilliant mind behind many of our manufacturing breakthroughs. She’s the one who takes our processes to the next level, turning our manual systems into high-tech, scalable solutions. When it comes to bioreactors, she’s our expert—helping translate big ideas into practical, working systems.

Tati’s not just an expert—she’s also an amazing mentor, always ready to share her knowledge and guide the next generation of scientists. And when she’s not innovating in the lab, she’s baking sourdough bread (yes, another one of our lab’s many bakers!) and keeping things light with her creativity and positive energy.

🧬 Kelsey Faust, Quality Control Analyst

Kelsey is the heart of our quality control team, ensuring that everything we do is up to the highest standard—without ever breaking a sweat. She’s got a knack for juggling the details that keep our processes running smoothly, even while navigating the beautiful chaos of being a new mom.

She’s the ultimate multitasker—making sure both work and motherhood thrive, with grace and a smile.

Thank you for reading and getting to know the amazing humans behind the scenes. I’m so proud to share their stories with you, and to highlight some of the people who are helping bring regenerative medicine to life—making it accessible for all pets who need it And today, I get to introduce you to some of the people who power everything behind the scenes in our labs and offices.

It’s an honor to work alongside these talented, passionate humans. And now, I get to share a bit of our world with you 💙

🧠 Carolyn Wrightson, Chief Technical Officer

If you ever need 30 million doses of potent stem cells out of one uterus—and need them on a startup budget—Carolyn is your person. She’s been mastering the magic of manufacturing since 2006, and I’ve had the privilege of watching her do it with grace, grit, and the kind of scientific depth that leaves the rest of us blinking.

Carolyn doesn’t flinch at setbacks. She digs in deeper. She’s also a fantastic cook (our office’s top contributor to unplanned carb-loading) and decompresses with true crime podcasts, which, yes, is a little terrifying—but we love her for it.

🔬 Nopmanee Taechangam, Principal Scientist

Nopmanee is our assay whisperer. She has this rare, beautiful mind that can dream up an experiment, map it on paper, and make it work in the lab on the first try. It’s like watching art meet precision.

Oh, and her adventure cat, Thunder! He hikes. He climbs. He lives a life that makes most humans feel deeply underachieving.

✅ Kellee Ramirez, Quality Control Manager

There’s “doing it right,” and then there’s Kellee—who somehow makes compliance feel like an act of care. She leads our quality team with clarity, kindness, and a contagious can-do spirit.

She’s also a teacher, a mentor, a mom to a few gorgeous humans and a French bulldog who once made a cameo in our photo shoot. We love her for her precision, her positivity, and her ability to spot a problem and fix it before the rest of us even notice it’s there.

🥑 Ashton Salazar, Associate Scientist

Every company needs someone who can make science scalable. Also: someone who can make guacamole.

Ashton does both. He keeps our stem cells healthy and stable as they wait to become therapies—and bakes amazing sourdough on the side.

Officially, he’s part of our manufacturing team. Unofficially, he’s the Chief Guacamole Officer. We’re keeping both titles.

🎸 Chris Osborne, Biomanufacturing Associate II

Chris is our steady rock—both in the lab and outside of it. A guitarist with a band, he’s the kind of person you can always count on, whether it’s troubleshooting manufacturing processes or jamming with the team after hours. He’s reliable, thoughtful, and truly loves what he does.

We’re thinking of swaying him into writing a Gallant jingle. He’s definitely got the rhythm for it!

🌱 Marie Bagana, Biomanufacturing Associate II

Marie brings a calm, precise touch to everything she does. She works closely with Chris on our GMP processes—“good manufacturing practices,” which are the strict, step-by-step standards that keep our manufacturing consistent, clean, and safe.

A steady presence in the lab, Marie keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes, always tuned into the details that matter. No fuss, just excellent work.

Up next in Part 2: Meet more of the amazing humans at Gallant, each working to bring regenerative medicine to all pets that need it.
